biography

Flowriders is the band of producer, beat maker, and keys player Vincent Helbers. He started with performing, writing and recording contemporary acoustic jazz, and now
combines
this with modern influences of hip hop, broken beat and electronics. Fat grooves, tricky arrangements and jazz wise solo-ing make the band sound both raw
and sophisticated.

Their first album release in 2005, 'Starcraft', was released on the Dutch 4lux label to the critical acclaim from the likes of Jazzanova, Bugz in the Attic and Rainer Truby, to
name a few. Many fell for the charms of this piece of contemporary soul that hailed from Amsterdam, and the late 2007 release, 'R.U.E.D.Y.', was highly anticipated.
Featuring collaborations with artists Nia Saw, Colonel Red, Richard Spaven and Spoonface, this album received even more praise than the first, with 'Russelology' becoming a
massive COP dancefloor hit.

Currently the Flowriders are working on their third album, hoping to release it in early 2009.
